This week is National EMS (Emergency Medical Services) Week and we would like to thank our primary EMS partner, Hennepin EMS, for helping to take care of our residents.

When we receive a 911 call for a medical situation such as a car crash, industrial accident or cardiac arrest, our dispatchers contact Hennepin EMS for an ambulance in addition to dispatching Eden Prairie Police officers and firefighters. In 2024, we received 3,727 medical calls.

Hennepin EMS paramedics also provide emergency medical training to Eden Prairie Police officers and firefighters. The paramedics provide top-notch emergency medical education to our officers who are required to maintain their certification by taking a refresher class every three years.
