Officer Kuffel received a Legacy Award for Community Leader of the Year for her work as a juvenile liaison officer at Central Middle School (CMS). The award is given in recognition for “having a direct impact on students’ passions for learning, creating a positive, supportive and respectful learning atmosphere where students flourish: demonstrating exemplary professionalism and high personal integrity; and showing enthusiastic love of children with a commitment to student, school and district excellence.”
Officer Kuffel has worked for the EPPD since 2000 and served as a juvenile liaison from 2007 to 2010 and then again from 2016 to today where she works at CMS, Cedar Ridge Elementary and Forest Hills Elementary.
Officer Kuffel also works on very difficult child abuse cases which she handles with equal amounts of conviction and compassion. In 2021, Officer Kuffel was awarded Eden Prairie’s Officer of the Year and in 2022, she was awarded the Toward Zero Deaths Star Award for her efforts with child passenger safety. Officer Kuffel is a huge asset to the department and the Eden Prairie schools community and we are grateful to have her on our team.
Congratulations Officer Kuffel!
