News and Updates

Seeking Advisory Council Members

The Senior Advisory Council advises, consults with and makes recommendations to Senior Center staff; Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Commission; and City Council on adult and senior programs, services and facilities. It assists with developing, promoting and implementing senior programs.

Requirements:

Resident of Eden Prairie
Able to attend 80% of scheduled monthly meetings (held on the third Wednesday of the month at 9 a.m.)
Willing to volunteer for most special events
Serve as a strong advocate for the Senior Center

Complete an application or call if you'd like us to send one to you. Elections are held in January.

Featured Activities

Happiness Group

Socialize with others and meet new people as we navigate the path of adulthood to elderhood. Group discussions cover topics on choices, courage and curiosities. Meets first and third Wednesday of each month.

CPR Class and Certification

Learn the essential steps of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to maintain brain function and preserve life during a cardiac emergency. This class is informational and does not provide certification. To obtain certification, attend a second session that includes skill practice and a written exam. Certification is valid for 2 years. Registration deadline Sept. 6.

Murder Mystery

Tech Device Loaner

The Senior Center lends computer tablets and laptops for up to three weeks. When checked out, Senior Community Services staff are available at the Senior Center or at your home to help you use the device.
