On May 22, Bernatello’s Foods, Star Bank, Fat Pants Brewing and the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce teamed up for Drive-Thru Difference Day, a fundraiser for LEMA (Minnesota Law Enforcement Memorial Association), a local non-profit that assists the families and home agencies of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.
For six hours that day, they sold Brew Pub pizzas in the Star Bank parking lot for a suggested donation of $10. EPPD officers also were on hand to greet customers and talk about some of our equipment, including our drones. In total, $3,000 was raised for LEMA at the event.
Yesterday, Jay Whitcomb from Star Bank and Matt Selvig from Bernatello’s presented a check for $3,000 to EPPD Sgt. Tom Lowery and Lt. Rob Johnston who accepted it on behalf of LEMA.
The EPPD would like to thank the sponsors of the event and everyone who purchased pizzas to help this valuable organization.
