Yesterday was the City’s annual Spring Employee Recognition Event where new employees and those celebrating milestone employment anniversaries were recognized, and “EPy” Awards were presented.
Seven EPPD employees were recognized for their years of service and one new EPPD employee was welcomed to the City.
In addition, EPPD Projects Coordinator Sonja Ritchie Roy received a City Manager’s Quality Award for her collaboration and initiative in her role with the administration of the Police Department. Specifically, she was recognized for her service beyond expectation, to both internal and external customers. She works hard to serve the needs of the Police Department, as well as the community.
Sonja had a very busy 2023 with many projects related to our 50th Anniversary Celebration, coordinating new recruiting videos and more. We appreciate Sonja’s ability to collaborate with people, explore new ideas and solutions, all while continuing our commitment to excellence. Part of Sonja’s job is leading many of the efforts to recognize the great work done by the men and women of the EPPD. We are excited that Sonja has now been recognized for all her achievements and contributions to our City.
The EPy Award Sonja received is given by the City Manager to recognize employees who have performed at a high level of productivity and quality that regularly exceed normal expectations for their positions, and who reflect the City’s core values: Collaboration, Innovation, Integrity, Performance and Relationships.
The EPPD congratulates Sonja and our other employees who were recognized for their accomplishments yesterday.
