Around the Community with our Preston Veterans Home Staff

Several staff members from the Preston Veterans Home participated in parades in Preston, Harmony and Chatfield this summer. Staff also participated in the Fillmore County Fair and put together a team for the Veteran Fun Day Golf Tournament at the Preston Golf Course. They look forward to continuing to meet people in the community ahead of the Veterans Home opening later this year. Thank you for the hospitality, southeast Minnesota!

  • Landscaping around the building will wrap up within the next few weeks.
  • Remaining inspections throughout the building are ongoing.
  • Furniture and artwork is onsite.
  • Pavement signage and striping is complete.

Looking to do business with the Preston Veterans Home?

MDVA is focused on providing opportunities for Preston individuals and businesses to provide goods and services to our future Veterans Home. There’s a lot to learn about becoming a State of Minnesota vendor, such as registering online, creating a capabilities sheet, signing up to receive bid notices, becoming certified, and more. We want to make it as easy as possible for communities to work with us! Questions? Please visit the Office of Equity in Procurement (OEP).
