Message from Valerie Klitzke, Human Resources Director 4

Valerie Klitzke Dec 2021

It’s all about who you know. You may have heard that phrase as you explore new career opportunities.

At the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA), I’m proud to say that our employees provide a warm welcome to new employees. As we work together, we transform into teams of individuals who complement and support one another. We value relationships and know we can count on one another through thick and thin. We step up and help out whenever and however needed. The challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic are no match for the willingness, camaraderie and teamwork of the MDVA staff. We are a strong team, with trust relationships and a demonstrated work ethic.

We also value our professional relationships with the Veterans we serve. We consider it an honor to work for MDVA and care for  and support Veterans throughout their lives, from supporting their education and employment searches, assisting during challenging times, providing healthcare as they age, and facilitating a dignified and respectful burial at end of life.

MDVA is a State of Minnesota agency and, as such, our employees enjoy generous State of Minnesota employee benefits. We recognize our employees as critical to our mission to serve Minnesota Veterans and strive to enhance the work experience. Often described as a family, our teams work through the tough times and celebrate our successes and milestones.

I invite you to get to know us and learn more about joining the MDVA team!
