In the midst of this arctic cold blast, it may be difficult to think ahead to summer. But soon enough we will be enjoying Minnesota’s summer and come September, we will be commemorating a special and somber anniversary.

September 11, 2021 will mark the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the United States by the terrorist group Al-Qaeda. Like other significant events in our county’s history, most of us can probably remember where we were on that fateful day when we lost almost 3,000 Americans.

Black History Month

The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) is pleased to recognize February as Black History Month to celebrate the achievements, contributions and diversity of Minnesota’s Black/African American community as well as acknowledge our history and the progress we continue to work toward today.
