Twins Visit Hastings Veterans Home

Twins Hastings Home

The Minnesota Twins Winter Caravan made a stop at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Hastings. Special guests included TC Bear, Bert Blyleven, Jake Cave, Cory Provus and Ryan Jeffers. A Resident at the Home hand wrote a sign with Bert Blyleven’s career stats. A special thanks from Residents, staff and family members for the visit! 

 

 

MDVA Begins Fleet Transformation Initiative

The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) is going green! Starting in 2019, MDVA is acquiring a multitude of eco-friendly vehicles for its light vehicle fleet. This will help MDVA fulfill one of its strategic goals of being a steward of resources, reducing the organization’s fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

Women Veterans Conference

All ages, eras, branches, transitioning military women are welcome to this free conference at the YMCA Mounds View Community Center.

The program will also include the presentation of the 2020 Woman Veteran of the Year Award.

Veterans Day on the Hill

This year's Veterans Day on the Hill rally will take place Monday, April 20. Veterans Day on the Hill is hosted by the Minnesota Association of County Veterans Service Officers, the Minnesota Commanders’ Task Force, and the United Veterans Legislative Council of Minnesota.
