I hope you are enjoying our long-awaited summer in Minnesota. At the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA), summer brings a number of opportunities to celebrate and recognize achievements. In June alone, we have already or will recognize the 75th anniversary of D-Day on June 6, Flag Day on June 14, the 75th anniversary of the Federal GI educational benefits bill on June 22, and American Allies Day on June 30. We also celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Minnesota Veterans Home in Luverne on June 7.

Minnesota Veterans Home - Luverne celebrates 25th anniversary

After proudly caring for more than 841 Minnesota Veterans and their families since opening in 1994, the Minnesota Veterans Home - Luverne recognized its 25th anniversary with a community celebration on Friday, June 7. The public, current and former staff, volunteers, Resident Veterans, families and friends of the Veterans Home gathered to reflect on a quarter century of caring for our nation’s heroes.
