As I prepare this month’s column, after watching one of the most exciting Super Bowl games ever played it reinforces my pride in the State of Minnesota and its ability to step forward and show our country and world, that this is an outstanding state, proud of its heritage, and its service to our country.

Lloyd Vollmer - Soldier's Wish

Lloyd Vollmer, a Resident at the Minnesota Veterans Home – Hastings was all smiles when he received a much needed surprise in late January. As he rounded the corner, he was greeted by members of his family waiting happily to share some news with him.

Veterans Day on the Hill - 2018

Monday, March 12th is Veterans Day on the Hill sponsored by the Minnesota Commanders’ Task Force, the United Veterans Legislative Council and the Minnesota Association of County Veterans Service Officers. The rally will take place in the State Capitol Rotunda starting at 10 a.m.
