MMBWG: Seen, valued, visible

MMBWG logo

The new logo for the Office for Missing and Murdered Black Women and Girls.

“When I see this new logo, I am immediately brought back to the little Black girl I once was, searching for reflections of herself in a world that rarely offered them,” says Alla Hassan, violence prevention and training coordinator for our Office for Missing and Murdered Black Women and Girls (MMBWG). Learn more about the MMBWG logo and read Hassan's story on our Safety Matters blog.

DVS: Jazz, pop or rock, what's your preference?

Kenny and Macy

Two DVS employees encourage customers to take the survey to help select the hold music.

Our Driver and Vehicle Services (DVS) division heard customers don't appreciate getting placed on hold when they call.

And what happens when you're on hold? You listen to music.

Enter the DVS hold music customer survey. Learn more about the survey in our Safety Matters blog.

Commissioner's Corner: Ready to serve? Apply for the LETO program

Minnesota State Troopers

If you thought about serving as a Minnesota state trooper but didn't think you had the right experience, the LETO program can help.

The Law Enforcement Training Opportunity (LETO) program provides a direct pathway for people with a two- or four-year degree in any discipline to become Minnesota state troopers — even if they have no prior law enforcement experience. Applications are being accepted through March 29.

Troopers share how the LETO program helped them take a different path and why they would do it again.
