This multi-agency, operations-based exercise includes the mobilization of emergency management personnel and resources. In this exercise your skills will be put to the test in different aspects of interoperable communications. It is designed to improve the readiness of Communications Unit (COMU) response personnel. So no matter if you are a seasoned COMU person or looking to get your Position Task Book (PTB) signed off, this exercise is for you!
During this three-and half-day exercise you will have the opportunity to work through a human caused event, and other non-planned events. What you can expect to take away from this exercise.
- Personal experience: Opportunity to gain more public safety experience in field operations and/or experience providing information technology solutions to support public safety operations.
- Awareness of fundamental public safety radio, broadband and wireless communications technology.
Location of exercise; Camp Ripley, 15000 State Highway 115, Little Falls, MN 56345
Cost: Meals and lodging will be provided. Travel is the responsibility of the course participant.
