Electronic leans and EVTR
An SQR went into production in December that allows vehicles with electronically released liens to be processed through EVTR.
There is a new field available in your vehicle inquiry that states if a lien has been electronically released or not. It is a YES/NO answer.
If you look at the record through “Search Vehicle Information” in your e-Services for Business account it would look like this and show a release date.
If the answer is Yes (or the vehicle search shows a lien release date), then the lien holder information does not need to be inputted in the “Submit” and “Complete” process and will not need to be released on the “Certify”.
In the example above, this lien has been released already by the bank and no additional paperwork is required. You just need to turn in the Minnesota title with all transfers completed and the application signed.
Dealer license certificate change
Previously, only one additional location would print on the dealer license certificate. Now all additional locations will print on the license. The first additional location prints on the front of the license. Any additional locations will print on a second page. The second page will also have additional DBAs and owners/officers that don’t fit on the first page of the license.
Here's an example of the first page of the license with the first additional location listed.
Here's an example of the second page of the license with additional locations, DBAs and owners/officers.
