DVS Credential Fees Update

 

As of July 1, all credential fees in Minnesota Statutes 171.06 (including driver’s licenses, identification cards, commercial learner’s permits and duplicates) will increase by $6, plus a REAL ID surcharge of 75 cents will be reinstated and added to driver’s license fees. Reference: Laws of Minnesota 2023, Regular Session, Chapter 68, HF2887, Article 3, Sections 14. 

 

DVS is in the process of updating the fee chart; a notice will be sent once fee charts are available at the DVS warehouse. 

 

Please retain this update, consider printing it, until a version is available from the warehouse.

 

Below are the new fee increases for credentials.
