We have some exciting news regarding our online training modules, hosted by Minnesota State's Alexandria Technical and Community College (ATCC)!
These training modules have played a key role for people learning about ARMER in the past. As our repertoire of modules has grown to include Wireless Broadband, IPAWS, dispatch information, and much more, our manner of accessing these modules will soon become simpler than ever!
Major security changes have taken place for ATCC regarding BrightSpace, which has been the online learning management system used for the past ten years to host the online training modules.
ECN staff met with the ATTC individualized training representative to discuss our options. It was determined the most viable option was to move the online training modules to a web page that will no longer require students to remember a user name or password.
As a result, group and individual log ins will no longer work for accessing the training modules after May 15 at 8:00 a.m.
The website will still be hosted by ATCC but will have a secure, non-searchable URL. Because the URL will bring you directly to the module selection page, it will only be shared with public safety or other personnel who have a need to access it (e.g., hospital emergency department staff).
The new URL will be shared via GovDelivery sometime during the week of May 11 and again on May 15 prior to the change.
