Metro - Hwy 169 and Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 in Jordan: 2025-2027 construction
Crews will close southbound Hwy 169 between Hwy 21 in Jordan and Co. Rd. 59 (Delaware Ave.) in St. Lawrence Township from 10 p.m. Wed, Sept. 16 to 5 a.m. Thu, Sept. 17 to install bridge beams for the new Hwy 169 and Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 interchange.
The detour is Hwy 21 (Broadway St.), Co. Rd. 66 (Old Hwy 169 Blvd.) and Co. Rd. 59 (Delaware Ave.). The temporary intersection at Hwy 169 and Creek Ln. will remain open except for southbound Hwy 169 traffic.
During this closure, northbound Hwy 21 (Broadway St.) traffic headed to Hwy 21 (Broadway St.) addresses located west of Hwy 169 will be detoured to the Hwy 21 (Broadway St.) exit to northbound Hwy 169, then the first J-turn/left turn onto Hwy 21 (Broadway St.).
Then, from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thu, Sept. 17, crews will reduce northbound Hwy 169 to one lane between Co. Rd. 59 and Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 to prepare for a second night of bridge beam installation.
From 10 p.m. Thu, Sept. 17 until 5 a.m. Fri, Sept. 18, crews will close northbound Hwy 169 between Co. Rd. 59 (Delaware Ave.) and Creek Ln. The detour is Co. Rd. 59 (Delaware Ave.), Co. Rd. 66 (Old Hwy 169 Blvd.) and Hwy 21 (Broadway St.).
When this work is completed, northbound Hwy 169 will reopen to two lanes in this area. However, southbound Hwy 169 will continue to be reduced to one lane between Hwy 21 and the Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 intersection through September for noise wall construction.
We appreciate your patience while we make these improvements. Plan ahead by checking 511, and give yourself additional time to reach your destination.
Please note that all timeframes are approximate, subject to change, and weather and schedule dependent.
Please drive with care in work zones:
- Slow down when approaching every work zone, then navigate with care and caution.
- Stay alert; work zones constantly change.
- Watch for workers and slow-moving equipment.
- Obey posted speed limits. The fine for a violation in a work zone is $300.
- Minimize distractions behind the wheel.
- Be patient; expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
