It's been an exciting summer of progress on the 11th Street underpass! In Stage 3 along Center Avenue, crews have been getting the roadway rebuilt after completing all of the underground work and final utility hook ups. Concrete paving started in July, beginning with 11th Street underneath the two bridges, followed by sidewalk pours along this section. On Center Avenue, crews have paved the eastbound and westbound lanes, and will be hand-pouring the gaps to tie together 11th and Center Avenue. Sidewalks along Center Avenue will be poured next. Over the next month, crews will be working on the final connection, paving between 11th and 10th Streets, to tie into the city of Moorhead's project between 8th and 10th Street.
While a lot of those big milestones are underway, there has been a lot of other smaller touches happening—bridge painting is done, railings are being installed, signals are going in as the sections finish. As progress continues, you'll see other cleanup happening throughout the project area, lighting installations and final striping to come, too.
As always, we appreciate your patience and understanding as the project progresses toward completion, which remains on schedule for this fall!

Join us at our final "Coffee & Construction" monthly meeting on Sept. 15 at 9 a.m., at the Hjemkomst Center. These meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month, and this will be our last one for the project! At these meetings you can expect a short overview on progress from the contractor and MnDOT, and the opportunity for anyone to ask questions or share concerns.

Moorhead businesses are open during construction! If your destination falls within/near the work zone or along the detour routes, please check in with the business to determine the best route there.

Never enter an area that's blocked by barriers or cones. It is not safe to drive, walk or bike around barricades, even in areas where workers aren't present or active. Those boundaries are set up for your safety. There are signed detours installed for both motorists and pedestrians. Please use those routes.
