D3 - Hwy 25 Buffalo to Monticello: 2026 construction
 Hwy 25 work zone changes Fri, Aug. 21
- Hwy 25 will open to through traffic north of the Wright Co. Rd. 37 roundabout to Monticello by late Fri, Aug. 21.
- However, crews will continue to work along the road in this area, so expect reduced speeds, periodic shoulder or lane closures through October.
- Hwy 25 closed and detoured to through traffic between Co. Rd. 37 and Co. Rd. 83 (35th St.) through October.
- Detour uses Co. Rd. 37, Co. Rd. 12 and Hwy 55
- Wright County continues to construct a new roundabout on Hwy 25 at Co. Rd. 113. The temporary signal at Co. Rd. 37 and Co. Rd. 117 (Edmonson Ave. NE) will remain operational for Co. Rd. 113 access.
Motorists should expect temporary striping until final road markings and rumble/mumble strips are installed along the corridor in fall.

South of Wright Co. Rd. 83 in Buffalo
Hwy 25 opened to local traffic south of Wright Co. Rd. 83 (35th St.) into Buffalo on Aug. 17.
This segment remains a work zone. Crews will be at work along the road in this area, so expect reduced speeds and periodic shoulder or lane closures through October.
Anderson Ave. access closed to/from Hwy 25 to reconstruct the connection on Aug. 17. This work is anticipated to be complete prior to Labor Day weekend.
Use Catlin St. or Third Ave. NE for access to Anderson Ave. or the hospital
School starts the week of Aug. 31 in Buffalo. Please be watchful for pedestrians crossing or biking to/from schools and the increase of traffic in the area.

 Crews resurface (Stabilized Full Depth Reclamation) Hwy 25 north of Co. Rd. 37.
Please remember this machinery is wider than one driving lane. Those who need access to/from Hwy 25 should be prepared for delays and alternate one-way traffic with flaggers and a pilot car. Be prepared to stop and wait. Expect lane shifts, gravel surfaces and heavy equipment.

When all lanes reopen in fall 2026, the $11.4 million project will improve motorist and pedestrian safety, drainage and ride quality along seven miles of Hwy 25 between Buffalo and Monticello.
