Hwy 210/I-94 interchange improvements

Construction progress update

It's been an exciting week on the Highway 210/I-94 interchange project because the bridge deck was poured! More than 440 cubic yards of concrete were poured on Wednesday, and now the deck will cure for seven days. They'll be pouring guardrail and approach panels next. 

There's still work to be done on the bridge once the deck is cured. Curb, gutter and sidewalks will be poured, as well as the final concrete paving.

On the east side of the new bridge, crews have finished the underground utility replacements, including across the north Western Avenue intersection. We appreciate everyone's patience while that closure was in place.

There will be more underground work to do later (including the south Western Avenue intersection) but that won't take place until they switch traffic to the new bridge and road.

Portions of the curb and gutter for the two roundabouts west of the bridge have been installed, and the roadway west of the Redwood Lane is ready for paving. Crews are also working on the ramps, and will begin rebuilding the roadway east of the bridge, which includes constructing the third roundabout.

Traffic reminders Highway 210 is open for east/west travelers across the south bridge during construction, one lane in each direction. Please travel with care.  The interchange ramps are closed to all travelers. I-94 traffic to/from Highway 210 should use the detour on County Road 1/Tower Road (Exit 55). Head-to-head traffic and reduced speeds on I-94 near the interchange.
