D3 - Hwy 210 (Washington St.) in Brainerd: 2026-2027 construction
 Big changes ahead—overnight traffic switch Aug. 9-10
Crews will reconfigure the work zone and install the updated in‑town detour overnight Sunday, Aug. 9, to Monday, Aug. 10. Expect sudden stops, flaggers and changing traffic control.
The contractor has updated plans. The new C St./Hwy 25 roundabout will open to local access, but Hwy 210/Mill Ave./Co. Rd. 3 will remain closed through early September.
 Washington St./Hwy 210 closes Monday, Aug. 10, between 10th Ave. NE and Kingwood St. Crews will reconstruct the railroad segment through fall and complete the mall segment by early September.

Eastbound detour: S Sixth St., Oak St., Hwy 25 and 10th Ave. NE

Westbound detour: 10th Ave. NE, Hwy 25, Oak St. and S Eighth St.
- Temporary signal at 10th Ave. NE/Hwy 25
- Mini‑roundabouts at Oak St./13th St. SE and Oak St./S Eighth St.
- Yield into roundabouts and go slow; larger vehicles can drive over the raised center island.
- Expect lane shifts, reduced speeds and stop-and-go-traffic at busy times.
Regional and truck detour: Remains unchanged. Follow signed routes, includes the Co. Rd. 3 to/from Hwy 25 for truck traffic.
Please be patient and stay alert as drivers adjust to the new work zone the first week. MnDOT will monitor signals, signing and traffic flow and adjust accordingly.

- Reconstruct lanes and entrances
- Remove signal at 4th Ave. NE
- Replace signal at 13th Ave. SE (Co. Rd. 45)/Gillis Ave.
- Install concrete median at 1st, 2nd and 4th Ave. NE
- Update city water main and storm sewer structures beneath the roadway
- Rebuild sidewalk and road approaches
 Work at the C St./Hwy 25 roundabout on July 30. Paving to occur the week of Aug. 3.
