Get Ready! Round 3a request for proposal launch coming soon.

The Request for Proposal (RFP) for round 3a of NEVI Formula Funds is coming soon. There will be up to $41.8 Million in funding available for up to 74 eligible clusters. We anticipate a late August launch, and there are things you can do now to prepare.

• Find your team – check out the Fast-Charging Interested Partners List. If you aren’t already on it, add your information to the list.
• Talk to the electric utility that serves your location and the municipality that manages permitting for the location. Work with the electric utility to start getting answers to the Utility Coordination Form.
• Attend one of our informational webinars
• July 28, 2026 – 10 – 11 AM Central Time. Register for the webinar
• August 6, 2026 – 2-3 PM Central Time. Register for the webinar

More NEVI-funded charging stations open in Minnesota

It has been a very busy spring and summer construction season for the NEVI funded stations in Minnesota. Congratulations to Kwik Trip for the opening of stations 3-6 as of July 1, 2026:

• Stewartville (I-90, exit 209) 

• Moose Lake (I-35, exit 214) 

• Forest Lake (I-35, 129) 

• Lake Elmo (I-94, 251) 

We update the list of NEVI-funded stations in Minnesota as they come online. The list can be found on the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program in Minnesota webpage.
