The project team wishes you a safe and happy Fourth of July! As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, please note that the Washington St./Hwy 210 work zone will remain in place with no changes during the holiday.

Plan your travels and see current impacts on Minnesota highways— detours, road restrictions, emergency closures/crashes and weather.
 Storm water pipes waiting to be installed beneath the ground.
Crews continue to:
- Install city utilities; sanitary sewer first and new watermain
- Relocate signal systems, electrical cabinets and street lighting
- Build earth embankments for the roundabout areas
- Install future drainage ponds
- Grading and installing pipes
- Pumping and filtering groundwater
- Center median and curb/gutter work east of 10th Ave. NE to end of the four-lane
Work zone shifts in early August
Once both roundabouts open, work will move west to the railyard segment between Fifth Ave. NE and Kingwood St. The Hwy 210 detour and work zone will change in town.

Building a Better Brainerd project
When all lanes reopen on Washington St./Hwy 210 in fall 2027, it will bring safer travel, smoother traffic flow and dependable access — all while creating a better and more beautiful Brainerd.
