 2026 Construction: Hwy 210/I-94 interchange improvements

Thank you for your patience as work continues on Highway 210 and I-94. Starting June 16, I-94 traffic will be head-to-head through the construction area while crews continue work on the bridges. Head-to-head traffic is planned for three weeks. I-94 traffic for Exit 54 should continue to use the detour on County Road 1 and Tower Road (Exit 55). Please travel with care.
Construction updates
In-progress
- Driving pile for east abutment
- Moving the crossover in preparation for the head-to-head traffic switch on June 16
- Continue constructing Redwood Lane roundabout, and work toward the bridge
- Continue realignment of the eastbound I-94 on- and off-ramps
Upcoming schedule
- Begin underground work, construct roundabout at the eastbound I-94 on- and off-ramps - Starting June 8
- Pour pier caps, east abutment
- Install bridge beams over eastbound I-94
Completed work
- Storm sewer and culverts installed from Redwood Lane to the west
- Grading of eastbound I-94 off-ramp
- Pouring of the pier columns, west abutment

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones where workers are present, and never enter an area that's blocked by barriers or cones.
