D1 - Hwy 61 & London Road: 2026-2027 construction
Current and Upcoming Work
MnDOT appreciates your patience with construction underway. There are a lot of changes occurring with traffic shifts and detour implementation, and we are trying to make things as smooth as possible. Our traffic engineers are closely monitoring conditions and will make changes as needed.
Schedule look ahead
- Ongoing sidewalk removal and replacement will be happening from 42nd Ave E to 60th Ave E in the WB lane of London Road
- Sod and topsoil will be placed adjacent to new walk May 18 – 29
- Sewer relocation and water main relocation May 13 – 29
- Overhead sign removal in the westbound lanes of London Road just prior to 26th Ave E May 13 – 14
- Removal of center island median at 26th Ave E May 13 – 15
Traffic concerns
- Some additional signage will be added in the corridor
- A crosswalk is being added at 52nd Ave E and Superior St
- Law enforcement is being asked to increase patrols near 36th Ave E
