D3 - Hwy 210 (Washington St.) in Brainerd: 2026-2027 construction
Mall segment work begins week of May 11
The week after the fishing opener (May 11-18), Hwy 210/Washington St. will close and detour as construction begins on two new roundabouts between 10th and Fifth Ave. NE at the mall.
Crews excavating near Hwy 25 are encountering more groundwater and unstable soils than expected, which may slow work. The detour is still planned for the week of May 11 but could shift to the following week.
What to expect through early August
