Metro - Hwy 169 and Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 in Jordan: 2025-2027 construction
We are hosting a virtual informational business meeting on Tue, May 5 from 8-9 a.m. to share project updates and what to expect when the Hwy 169 intersection at Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 moves to a temporary signal at Creek Ln. in mid-May.
If you own or manage a business in the Jordan area, please save the date and join us online. A link to join the online meeting is available on the project meetings webpage.
County Road 9 and Hwy 282 closures begin mid-May
Starting in mid-May, plan for new closures impacting Co. Rd. 9 and Hwy 282, as well local access to and from Hwy 169 in Jordan to shift to a temporary traffic signal at Creek Ln.
First, crews will need two overnight closures of Hwy 169 in early May to set up the temporary signal at Hwy 169/Creek Ln. and to prepare the existing signal at Hwy 169/Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 for removal.
Then from mid-May until early fall 2027:
- Co. Rd. 9 will be closed in both directions between Hwy 169 and 190th St./Valley View Dr.
- Hwy 282 will be closed in both directions between Hwy 169 and Creek Ln.
These road closures are necessary to allow crews to continue bridge and wall construction at Hwy 169 and Hwy 282/Co Rd. 9.
All Jordan businesses will remain accessible during the closures.
- Use Creek Ln. to access the businesses along Triangle Ln.
- Businesses along Hwy 282 between Hwy 169 and Creek Ln. will be accessible from Creek Ln. South.
- Truck traffic exiting and entering Hwy 169 in Jordan should continue to use the Delaware Ave./Co. Rd. 59 interchange through early fall 2027.
We will share more details when the information becomes available.
Plan ahead by checking 511, and give yourself additional time to reach your destination.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change.
Please drive with care in work zones:
- Slow down when approaching every work zone, then navigate with care and caution.
- Stay alert; work zones constantly change.
- Watch for workers and slow-moving equipment.
- Obey posted speed limits. The fine for a violation in a work zone is $300.
- Minimize distractions behind the wheel.
- Be patient; expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
