Open house on April 7
We invite you to attend our construction open house on Tuesday, April 7, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Cyrus City Hall and Community Center (126 W. Main St., in Cyrus) to learn more about this year’s road work on Highway 28 between Morris and Starbuck.
There will be no formal presentation. Please stop by at your convenience during the open house. MnDOT construction staff will be available to answer questions about the project, construction timelines, and detour routes.
About the project
The project includes resurfacing, culvert replacements and other highway safety improvements on Highway 28 from the Pomme de Terre River bridge east of Highway 59 near Morris to John Street in Starbuck. As part of this project, crews will replace sidewalks and city utilities in the city of Cyrus.
Construction is currently expected to begin in May, with thru-traffic detoured through October 2026, weather permitting.
