MnDOT requests responses from accredited colleges, community colleges, universities, Tribal Colleges, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), and Asian American Native American Pacific Island Serving Institutions (ANAPISIs) to support up to three construction or transportation career pathways camps, each lasting one to three weeks long to provide awareness to middle school (entering grades 7-9) or high school (entering grades 10-12) students about transportation careers and to encourage them to consider transportation-related courses of study in their higher education pursuits. The program aims to increase student awareness, generate interest in pursuing a career involving construction or transportation, and learn about different career opportunities in emerging fields in transportation.
