MnDOT recently submitted a draft of the Scoping Document/Draft Scoping Decision Document (SD/DSDD) with Cooperating (federal agencies) and Participating agencies (state and local agencies and some federal agencies) and an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) with Participating agencies for review and comment. MnDOT has incorporated their comments into the documents and will be providing an update on the documents to community leaders and the Policy Advisory Committee.
The SD/DSDD and EAW will be released for public review after the December holidays. The official public comment period is expected to occur from January 6 through March 9, 2026. In addition, MnDOT will hold an official public meeting during this time to collect public input and comment.

The project team will discuss the upcoming official public comment period for the Scoping Document/Draft Scoping Decision Document (SD/DSDD) and the Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW).
Members of the public are invited to attend and may provide input during the designated public input portion of the meeting. Members of the public must register to attend.
Rethinking I-94 is a long-term process to engage community members who live, work, commute and play along the 7.5-mile segment of I-94 between Hwy 55/Hiawatha Ave. in Minneapolis and Marion St. in St. Paul. Rethinking I-94 aims to address identified transportation needs while ensuring community members and stakeholders have a meaningful voice in the process.
