Metro - Hwy 169 and Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 in Jordan: 2025-2027 construction
Upcoming work for the Hwy 169 and Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 interchange in Jordan will require the closure and detour of a small portion of Co. Rd. 9.
Beginning at 7 a.m. Mon, Nov. 10, Co. Rd. 9 will be closed between Frontage Rd. and 190th St./Valley View Dr. through spring 2026. You can bypass the closure using Co. Rd. 9, Frontage Rd., Syndicate St. and Valley View Dr.
When the Co. Rd. 9 closure takes effect, freight and large trucks exiting and entering Hwy 169 at Co. Rd. 9 will be detoured to the new Delaware Ave./Co. Rd. 59 interchange until late 2026. The truck detour uses Hwy 169, Delaware Ave., 195th St., Fairview Ln., 190th St. and Co. Rd. 9. It avoids a tight corner at Syndicate St. and Valley View Dr. that’s difficult for large trucks to navigate.
Crews had anticipated using a temporary traffic signal at Hwy 169 and Creek Ln. beginning this fall. To keep the project on schedule, plans now call for this temporary signal to open next spring.
Over the winter crews will install culverts under Co. Rd. 9 and begin construction on the interchange bridges and retaining walls.
