MnDOT modernizes traffic data management with MS2 integration MnDOT's Office of Transportation System Management is transitioning to a new transportation data platform through MS2, enhancing how traffic volume, classification, speed, and weight data are stored, analyzed, and shared with users. The new platform is replacing the functionality of the Traffic Mapping Application, which has reached the end of its life-cycle.  Read more on MS2 integration.

2026 Greater Minnesota local HSIP Solicitation now open – $30.5 million available The 2026 federal HSIP solicitation for Greater Minnesota (non-metro areas) is now open. MnDOT publishes 11th Edition of the MN MUTCD MnDOT has published the 11th Edition of the Minnesota Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MN MUTCD).To learn more about the changes in the MN MUTCD, 11th Edition, MnDOT's Office of Traffic Engineering is hosting a webinar on December 16, 2025, at 2 p.m. Read more on the 11th Edition of the MN MUTCD.

Automatic External Defibrillator Wayfinding Signs A new statute establishes a statewide wayfinding signage program for outdoor, publicly accessible AEDs along Minnesota roadways. Outdoor, public access AED locations are not required to be signed on a roadway unless a qualified participant submits a request to the relevant road authority and pays the road authority all costs associated with installation, maintenance, and removal of the sign(s).
