Week 25 progress
We have a new paving schedule from the paving subcontractor, and they are planning to be back on-site Monday, Oct. 27, weather permitting. They'll start on Highway 108 west, and their operations will alternate between Highway 108 west and Highway 59. Expect lane closures and flagging operations with delays in the areas they're working.
Paving, once started, is expected to take approximately seven to eight days to complete project-wide.
In the meantime, you'll continue to see workers around town working on their project wrap-up checklists and cleanup.
Reminder: at this time, you still can not access County Road 9 directly from Highway 59. The entrance to/from County Road 9 is closed to all traffic while the realignment work is underway. Drivers should use the detour on Highway 34 to enter from the north, or find an alternate route to and from County Road 9. Business access is maintained for the businesses near/at the intersection, but no thru-traffic is permitted.
Highway 108 west is ready for paving to start next week! Reminder that it remains closed to thru-traffic.
County Road 9, Pete Lane and Highway 59 are ready for paving! The road remains closed to thru-traffic.
While the Hwy 59/CR 9 intersection is closed, consider using the MnDOT detour to access CR 9 or find an alternate route
There are several ways you can find information or get your questions answered:
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones where workers are present, and never enter an area that's blocked by barriers or cones.
