Local traffic impacts: Cannot enter or exit Highway 114 from the Highway 27 intersection. Find alternate route. Highway 27 remains open east/west with new automated signal to direct traffic one direction at a time.
This week, traffic has been swapped from the temporary bypass on the south side of the road to the north side so crews can get started on the south half of the roundabout. There is now an automated signal to direct Highway 27 traffic through the intersection one direction at a time. Please obey the signal lights and proceed only when the light is green. Thank you for your commitment to safety.
You cannot access Highway 114 north or south from the Highway 27 intersection. This restriction remains in place. Please plan ahead and consider your alternate route.

Since our last update in September, crews completed the northern half of the east and west legs of the roundabout! Traffic is now moving through this section with the automated signal so crews can get started on the southern half of the roundabout. Crews are also finishing up on the north leg, where concrete was poured and is now curing.
The south leg is also underway, south of the temporary bypass, and crews are pouring curb. They'll also begin removals in the intersection so they can begin grading the middle portion, followed by the west leg and then the east leg.
Completed work
- Northern half of the east and west legs of roundabout
- Clean and line existing pipes throughout the entire project
Upcoming schedule
- Finish north leg of roundabout
- Pour curb and gutter of south leg of roundabout
- Removal of the temporary bypass
- Grade southern half of the center, east and west legs of roundabout
Concrete crews pour concrete on the northern half of the roundabout.

We have two years of projects scheduled on Highway 114. This year's project includes culvert replacements between Highway 55 and I-94, and roundabout construction at the intersection of Highway 27 and Highway 114. Next year, we'll come back to resurface the entire roadway.
Check the project website for project information, construction updates, and MnDOT contacts. We're here to help!
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones where workers are present, and never enter an area that's blocked by barriers or cones.
