Metro - Hwy 169 and Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 in Jordan: 2025-2027 construction
The new roundabout at Co. Rd. 9 and 190th St./Valley View Dr. in Jordan is now expected to fully open to traffic by the end of the day on Sat, Oct. 4. It was originally scheduled to reopen Oct. 2.
Crews need more time to install the top layer of pavement in the roundabout. Workers then plan to paint permanent pavement markings at night on Mon, Oct. 13 and Tue, Oct. 14. The roundabout will remain open to traffic during this nightwork.
Watch for crews in both directions of Hwy 169 from Oct. 2-3
Crews will need two full days to shift the Hwy 169 travel lanes between Hwy 282 and Hwy 21 into a head-to-head configuration in the northbound lanes. We still expect this traffic shift to be completed by the end of the day on Fri, Oct 3. Plan for short delays while crews move the traffic barriers.
Both directions of Hwy 169 will continue to be reduced to a single lane through early winter.
Plan ahead by checking 511, and give yourself additional time to reach your destination.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change.
Please drive with care in work zones:
- Slow down when approaching every work zone, then navigate with care and caution.
- Stay alert; work zones constantly change.
- Watch for workers and slow-moving equipment.
- Obey posted speed limits. The fine for a violation in a work zone is $300.
- Minimize distractions behind the wheel.
- Be patient; expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
