Project complete: I-94 in Minneapolis

We are happy to share that the I-94 bridgework in Minneapolis is complete. We completed maintenance and repair work on five bridges along I-94 in Minneapolis. These bridges included:

• I-94 bridge (Dartmouth Bridge) that spans the Mississippi River
• Riverside Ave. bridge over I-94
• I-94 over Cedar Ave.
• I-94 over the Light Rail Transit (Blue Line)
• I-94 over Hwy 55/Hiawatha Ave.

Thank you for your patience during construction.

All project-related closures have been removed through the winter. However, you can expect periodic lane closures over a five-week period in spring 2026 when crews apply a protective sealant to the restored bridge decks. This process must wait until next spring to support long-term performance and durability.

Please enjoy a smoother, safer ride along I-94 in Minneapolis.
