Highway 87 construction update: September 26
The Highway 87 project in Hubbard is on schedule and expected to be complete mid-October. The detour will be in place for the duration of the entire project through mid-October. MnDOT will continue to maintain access for area residents and businesses throughout construction.

Traffic impacts: Full detour is in place utilizing Highway 71, Highway 34 and Hubbard County Road 20. Highway 87 is not passable between Lake Street (CR6) and Delaney Lane due to construction on the Long Lake box culvert. *
- Continue constructing embankment at the new box culvert site
- Placing storm sewer near South Jct. of Delaney Lane
- Preparing gravel base for curb and gutter from South Jct. of Delaney Lane to Lake Street in Hubbard

- Monday/Tuesday: Reclaiming asphalt in Stage 2 from CR 6 to South Jct. Delaney Lane. Road surface would be gravel and be leveled and packed.
- Wednesday: Pouring concrete curb and gutter from South Jct. of Delaney Lane to Lake Street in Hubbard
- Preparing roadway to be paved with asphalt the following week
- Install fencing around new inlet structure

Highway 87 between Highway 71 and east of Hubbard will be detoured during construction, but residents and businesses will be able to access their properties. Thru traffic will not be allowed to ensure safety of the workers. Thru traffic will be detoured onto Hubbard County Road 20 and Highways 34 and 71. The project is expected to be complete mid-October, weather permitting.
