Hwy 59, Hwy 108 Pelican Rapids

New map: Hwy 108 west closure and detour

Below is the new map for the Highway 108 west closure and detour for Stages 3A and 3B of the complete streets project.  This work zone is now in place, effective Tuesday, Aug. 19. Highway 108 west is closed from just east of 1st Street NW to 3rd Street NW.

If you've taken a drive through this area then you'll have encountered the new temporary signal at 2nd Avenue NW/3rd Street NW and/or Highway 108 west/3rd Street NW. Before proceeding onto 3rd Street NW, please stop and wait for the green light. Each direction will take turns on this section, as 3rd Street NW is narrow. 

To access to businesses and residences on the south side of Highway 108 west, please use 2nd Street NW to cross the work zone. Use extreme caution and watch for heavy equipment and workers.

There are several ways you can find information or get your questions answered:

• Join us at the Public Library each Thursday at noon for weekly in-person construction updates. **Continuation of these meetings depends on public interest and attendance.
• For construction questions, call the project Helpline: 218-517-9848. Brent Frazier continues to serve as the community liaison for the project. 
• Check the project website for project information, construction updates and MnDOT contacts -- we're here to help! 
• Join the MnDOT District 4 | West Central Minnesota Facebook group.
• We'll be working closely again with the Pelican Rapids Press to get updates into your local newspaper, and if you have Facebook, follow the Pelican Rapids City Page, Pelican Rapids Chamber, and Pelican Rapids: Find Your Path for updates, too! 

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones where workers are present, and never enter an area that's blocked by barriers or cones.
