 Stage 3 of the roundabout construction has begun. Highway 313 motorists will detour using Gladys, Main St. and CR 74. See detour map. Highway 11 east, west and south legs of the roundabout will be open to traffic. Motorists are encouraged to use additional caution in the work zone.

Bridge project – pile foundations for pier have been driven. Continued excavation on south abutment.

Roundabout project (Stage 3) – Traffic was moved onto roundabout surface. Barricades were moved and new work zone set up. Contractor began pavement removals on Hwy 11 and Hwy 313.

Bridge project – pile foundations will be encased with metal sleaves and filled with concrete. Contractor will begin falsework for pier cap.

Roundabout project (Stage 3) – Contractor will begin placing storm sewer on north side of Hwy 11
About the project:
MnDOT, in collaboration with Roseau County and the City of Warroad, plans to reconstruct Highway 11 between County Road 5 and Highway 313/Cedar Avenue NW and Cedar Avenue NW between Highway 11 and Lake Street.
Construction is scheduled to take place in 2024-2026.
These roadways are in need of long-term improvements to address aging infrastructure, safety, and access issues. This project will resurface deteriorating pavement, replace storm sewer, and incorporate landscaping along the project area.
2024: Resurface Hwy 11 south of the bridge and Cedar Ave. Begin Hwy 11/313 roundabout.
2025: Construct Highway 11/313 roundabout. Begin half of the bridge construction.
2026: Continue other half of the bridge construction.
The bridge will be constructed in 2025 and 2026. The bridge will remain open during the winter months.
How about a roundabout?
Traffic impacts:
 Stage 3: Construct north leg of the roundabout. Hwy 313 will be closed during this stage, approximately 2-3 weeks. See detour map.
  The truck detour is in place for the duration of the project. The Hwy 313 detour will only be in place during Stage 3 of the project which will begin July 28 and last approximately 2-3 weeks, weather permitting.
