Z ARCHIVE D7 - Hwy 60 Lake Crystal: 2025 construction
 Despite recent heavy rains, substantial progress continues on the Highway 60 Lake Crystal project.
Current work includes:
- Grading and base in preparation for curb, median, and pavement installation.
- Paving on the west half of the project will begin soon.
- Utility work, including removals and pipe installation.
- Bridge repairs including deck patching and replacement of approach panels. Steel beam painting on the bridge over County Road 6 is scheduled to start soon.

Highway 60 has been closed since April 15 with through traffic detoured to County Road 13 and Highway 169. The project is expected to be complete in October, weather permitting.
The project includes reconstruction of Highway 60 from Blue Earth County Road 20 to Blue Earth County Road 112, utility replacement in coordination with the City of Lake Crystal, bridge repairs, Intersection improvements, construction of a pedestrian trail and installation of lighting.
