Metro - Hwy 169/282/9 in Jordan: 2025-2027 construction
If you’re headed to the Scott County Fair July 23-27, you may need to take a new route this year due to road construction.
MnDOT is closing 190th St. at Co. Rd. 9 to build a roundabout as part of its Hwy 169 Jordan interchange project. The city of Jordan is also continuing work on its 190th St. reconstruction project between Co. Rd. 9 and Beaumont Ave.
So, to reach the fairgrounds, motorists are being directed to use the new Hwy 169 and Co. Rd. 59/Delaware Ave interchange, which is scheduled to open shortly before the fair begins.
Co. Rd. 9 lane closure July 21
Co. Rd. 9, between Valley View Dr. and Ervin Industrial Dr./Seventh St. will be reduced to one lane in both directions, with flaggers, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mon, July 21, as crews install storm sewer.
We now anticipate reopening Valley View Dr. at Co. Rd. 9 by 7 a.m. Wed, July 30. Please continue to use the detour until then.
Plan ahead by checking 511, and give yourself additional time to reach your destination.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change.
Please drive with care in work zones:
- Slow down when approaching every work zone, then navigate with care and caution.
- Stay alert; work zones constantly change.
- Watch for workers and slow-moving equipment.
- Obey posted speed limits. The fine for a violation in a work zone is $300.
- Minimize distractions behind the wheel.
- Be patient; expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
