Let your friends and family visiting the area know about the upcoming event traffic

A quick heads up that you'll encounter extra traffic on Hwy 12 in Howard Lake and Waverly this weekend, June 19-21, as concert goers attend the Winstock Country Music Festival in Winsted.

To avoid roadwork, delays and back-ups, travelers may want to plan alternate routes or travel at off-peak times.

Howard Lake work zone

• Hwy 12 work zone remains open with one lane in each direction through Howard Lake. Drivers should expect narrow lanes, lane shifts, gravel surfaces and flaggers directing traffic.
• Access to businesses and residents will be maintained and open; however, expect use of alternate entrances or side streets. Sidewalks may also be closed. 
  • South access to Co. Rd. 6 closed to/from Hwy 12 in Howard Lake. Follow detour signs in town. 

Waverly work zone

• Hwy 12 work zone remains open with one lane in each direction through Waverly. Drivers should expect narrow lanes, lane shifts, gravel surfaces and flaggers directing traffic.
• Access is maintained and open; however, expect use of alternate entrances or side streets. Sidewalks may also be closed.

Dassel to Cokato work zone

• Hwy 12 will be closed and detoured to through traffic from Dassel to Cokato. Detour uses Hwy 15 Dassel to Co. Rd. 21 and Co. Rd. 3 Cokato.
• Access maintained and open to local businesses and residents.

Montrose work begins in mid-July.

When complete in mid-October, the project will create smoother roads and improve safety for drivers and pedestrians on Hwy 12 in Howard Lake, Waverly and Montrose.
