Highway 87 reconstruction update: June 6

What's happening this week?

June 2-7

• Traffic impacts: Full detour is in place utilizing Highways 71, 34 and Hubbard CR 20
• Installing storm sewer in the town of Hubbard
• Grading and dirt moving from 149^th Ave to  159^th Ave
• Installing entrance culverts from 149^th Ave to 159^th Ave

What can we expect next week?

June 9-14

• Traffic impacts: Full detour is in place utilizing Highways 71, 34 and Hubbard CR 20
• Complete storm sewer in Hubbard on Tuesday (6/10, weather permitting)
• Grading and dirt moving from Hwy 71 to 159^th Ave
• Grading and dirt moving in town of Hubbard

Traffic impacts?

Highway 87 between Highway 71 and east of Hubbard will be detoured during construction, but residents and businesses will be able to access their properties. Thru traffic will not be allowed to ensure safety of the workers. Thru traffic will be detoured onto Hubbard County Road 20 and Highways 34 and 71. The project is expected to be complete mid-October, weather permitting.

A nearby project on Highway 87 will also be constructed later this summer. The eastern project includes resurfacing and culvert replacements from Hubbard County Road 13 to Highway 64. This project will take place August through September 2025.
