Highway 87 reconstruction update: May 29

What's happening this week?

• Began storm sewer installation in Hubbard. Working from the west to east.
• Continued grading and dirt moving from Hwy 71 to 159^th Ave
• Culvert replacements from 149^th Ave to 159^th Ave

What can we expect next week?

• Continue installing storm sewer pipe and structures through the Town of Hubbard
• Grading and dirt moving from 149^th Ave to 159^th Ave
• Installing approach culverts from 149^th Ave to 159^th Ave

Traffic impacts?

• Detour in place. (See map)

Highway 87 between Highway 71 and east of Hubbard will be detoured during construction, but residents and businesses will be able to access their properties. Thru traffic will not be allowed to ensure safety of the workers. Thru traffic will be detoured onto Hubbard County Road 20 and Highways 34 and 71. The project is expected to be complete mid-October, weather permitting.

A nearby project on Highway 87 will also be constructed later this summer. The eastern project includes resurfacing and culvert replacements from Hubbard County Road 13 to Highway 64. This project will take place August through September 2025.
