Traffic impacts: Detour for thru traffic is in place using CR 5 and 45, as well as the local bypass to First Street
- Continue working on storm sewer, lighting and grading at the roundabout
- Weather permitting, begin concrete work later in the week
- Continue work on city watermain
- Weather permitting, pave northbound Hwy 371
This urban reconstruction project includes constructing a roundabout at the intersection of Highway 371 and Cass County Road 5. Project elements also include reconstructing and paving Highway 371, sidewalk upgrades, utility improvements and replacing a box culvert near Barthelemy Avenue.
Once finished, this stretch of Highway 371 in Hackensack will include a safer road, safer intersections, longer lasting driving surface, improved drainage and pedestrian accessibility. It is expected to be complete mid-October, weather permitting.
