Metro - Hwy 169/282/9 in Jordan: 2025-2027 construction
Both directions of Hwy 169 will be closed early Friday, May 16 between Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 and Hwy 21 in Jordan.
From 12:01 a.m. to 4 a.m. Fri, May 16, both directions of Hwy 169 will be closed to traffic between Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 and Hwy 21. Please follow the posted detour.
This closure is necessary as utility crews relocate a powerline out of the Highway 169/282/9 Jordan interchange construction zone.
Plan ahead by checking 511, and give yourself additional time to reach your destination.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change.

- Slow down when approaching every work zone, then navigate with care and caution.
- Stay alert; work zones constantly change.
- Watch for workers and slow-moving equipment.
- Obey posted speed limits. The fine for a violation in a work zone is $300.
- Minimize distractions behind the wheel.
- Be patient; expect delays, especially during peak travel times.

We are partnering with the city of Jordan and Scott County to construct a new interchange at Hwy 169 and Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 in Jordan starting in spring 2025 through 2027.
Construction will include two bridges, large drainage culverts, two roundabouts, a pedestrian tunnel, sidewalks, retaining walls and noise walls. The project will improve safety and traffic flow and create better connections for pedestrians and bicyclists.
