Metro - Hwy 169/282/9 in Jordan: 2025-2027 construction
Due to weather delays, crews have rescheduled traffic shifts and road closures for the Hwy 169 interchange project in Jordan to April 29.
Creek Ln. and Syndicate St. accesses to/from northbound Hwy 169 will close to traffic starting at 9 p.m. Tue, April 29.
- Creek Ln. to/from Hwy 169 will be closed until mid-July.
- Syndicate St. to/from Hwy 169 will be permanently closed.
Motorists should use Hwy 282 to bypass the road closures.
At the same time, crews will shift the Hwy 169 travel lanes between Hwy 282 and Hwy 21 into a head-to-head configuration on the southbound lanes. Both directions of Hwy 169 will continue to be reduced to a single lane through the fall.
Plan ahead by checking 511, and give yourself additional time to reach your destination.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change.
Please drive with care in work zones:
- Slow down when approaching every work zone, then navigate with care and caution.
- Stay alert; work zones constantly change.
- Watch for workers and slow-moving equipment.
- Obey posted speed limits. The fine for a violation in a work zone is $300.
- Minimize distractions behind the wheel.
- Be patient; expect delays, especially during peak travel times.

We are partnering with the city of Jordan and Scott County to construct a new interchange at Hwy 169 and Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 in Jordan starting in spring 2025 through 2027.
Construction will include two bridges, large drainage culverts, two roundabouts, a pedestrian tunnel, sidewalks, retaining walls and noise walls. The project will improve safety and traffic flow and create better connections for pedestrians and bicyclists.
