Metro - Hwy 169 and Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 in Jordan: 2025-2027 construction
Changes impacting Hwy 169 access in Jordan are expected to begin Wed, April 23.
Starting at 6 p.m. Wed, April 23, the Creek Ln. and Syndicate St. accesses to/from Hwy 169 will be closed to traffic.
- Creek Ln. to/from Hwy 169 will be closed until mid-July
- Syndicate St. to/from Hwy 169 will be permanently closed
Motorists should use Hwy 282 to bypass the road closures.
At the same time, crews will also shift the Hwy 169 travel lanes between Hwy 282 and Hwy 21 into a head-to-head configuration on the southbound lanes. Both directions of Hwy 169 will continue to be reduced to a single lane through the fall.
The closures and lane shifts are necessary to allow crews to complete pedestrian underpass and retaining wall construction along the northbound lanes.
Valley View Drive closure begins April 29
Beginning at 6 p.m. Tue, April 29, Valley View Dr. will be closed at Co. Rd. 9 until late June for roundabout construction. Motorists can bypass the closure by following the detour using Valley View Dr., Syndicate St. and Co. Rd. 9/Quaker Ave.
Plan ahead by checking 511, and give yourself additional time to reach your destination.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change.
Please drive with care in work zones:
- Slow down when approaching every work zone, then navigate with care and caution.
- Stay alert; work zones constantly change.
- Watch for workers and slow-moving equipment.
- Obey posted speed limits. The fine for a violation in a work zone is $300.
- Minimize distractions behind the wheel.
- Be patient; expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
