In coordination with the city of Inver Grove Heights and Dakota County, we will redeck and repaint the Hwy 52 bridges over I-494 in Inver Grove Heights during the 2025 construction season, beginning in April.

Motorists can expect lane closures in April as crews create crossovers for the construction project.

The larger portion of the construction and traffic impacts will begin when crews start the following bridge updates:

• Redecking bridges
• Painting bridges
• Replacing bridge approach panels
• Constructing pier struts
• Improve drainage conditions
• Update highway lighting

Crews expect to complete construction by November. Once finished, this stretch of Hwy 52 will have a smoother road surface and extended bridge and pavement life.
