D3 - Let me know about new projects in central Minnesota

2025 ROADWORK AHEAD

The 2025 construction season is right around the corner and we wanted to let you know about some upcoming significant projects in central Minnesota. Visit their web pages for more details and be sure to sign up for project email updates to stay in the loop throughout construction.

Hwy 10, 29 and 71—Wadena: June 2025 to Aug 2027

Expand Hwy 10 to four lanes and resurface and improve Hwy 71 and Hwy 29 in Wadena, Otter Tail and Wadena counties. The project will take three construction seasons to complete (year 1 of 3). The project requires multiple detours. 

Hwy 12—Howard Lake, Waverly, Montrose: Late April to mid-Oct

Reconstruct, resurface and make pedestrian updates on Hwy 12 in the urban areas of Howard Lake, Waverly and Montrose, Wright County. Work done under traffic.

Hwy 25—Morrison County: July to late Sept

Resurface 14 miles of Hwy 25 north and south of Pierz and replace three bridges over waterways in Morrison County. The project requires detours.

Hwy 55—Annandale: Mid-April to late Oct

Resurface and improve Hwy 55 from Brown Ave. to east of Annandale Blvd. (1.4 miles) in Annandale, Wright County; includes utilities and access. The project requires a detour.

I-94 Gap—Albertville to Monticello: July 2024 to Nov 2027

Improve and expand I-94 to six lanes, three in each direction, to close the gap between Albertville and Monticello, Wright County; includes drainage and bridges (year 2 of 3). Overall, open to two-lanes, each direction. Off-peak single-lane closures.

Hwy 169—Princeton: Late April to mid-Oct 

Resurface and update eight Hwy 169 bridges in Princeton, Mille Lacs and Sherburne counties. Work includes bridges over Co. Rd. 31, west branch of Rum River, N Rum River Dr. and S Rum River Dr. Plan for head-to-head traffic on one side on Hwy 169 as crews work on the adjacent side, includes access detours. Expect delays at peak travel times.

Hwy 238—Upsala to Little Falls: Mid-July to late Sept

Resurface and update 19 miles of Hwy 238 from north of Morrison Co. Rd. 19 in Upsala to Hwy 27 west of Little Falls, Morrison County. The project requires detours.
